What is City of Heroes?City of Heroes . City of Tomorrow . Since 1931, when a prodigal son returned with the powers of an ancient god and called himself Statesman, Paragon City has been the center of the super-powered hero universe. Through the efforts of Statesman and those who joined him in the war against tyranny and crime, Paragon City truly became a beacon and inspiration for heroes world-wide. A true city of heroes.
All that came to a disastrous halt on May 23, 2002 when aliens known as the Rikti invaded the earth and began their war of mass extermination. Every major city in the world was attacked, but none were more devastated than Paragon City . It was here that thousands of heroes and civilians made their last stand. It was on this ruined battlefield that legends died and were created. After months of desperate fighting and incredible sacrifice, the Rikti were stopped-though not entirely defeated. In the end, of all the great super-powered heroes who called Paragon City home, only eight survived. Total casualty figures remain unknown, though low estimates placed them in the tens of thousands.
In the aftermath of the war, Paragon City , like much of the cities of the world, lay in ruins. With most of the city's heroes dead or missing, crime and corruption seized the opportunity to fill the hero-less vacuum. Gangs of criminals-some reemerging from decades of hiding, many new and horrifying in their methods-began to take control of the city's war torn zones. Amidst this sudden influx of lawlessness, Statesman made a call to the world's surviving and newly found heroes: "Come to Paragon City 's aid!"

The Super Powered Massively Multiplayer RPGWelcome to City of Heroes, the online world that's home to an entire universe of heroes, where you and thousands of other players take on the roles of super powered heroes - in a stunning, 3D graphical world.
Your assignment, if you choose to accept it, will be to create one of the MANY characters (heroes or villains) from City of Heroes / City of Villains in the JLU scale. I've posted an online gallery which can be found here:
CoH ReferencePlease note though, that these are not by any means every character that can be created. There are lots of other run of the mill villains, heroes, and other characters that are available. For those characters, feel free to check out the following references.

Email it to either myself or Stew, then you may go on to pick another. You may repeat this process as many times as you wish with as many characters as you wish before the deadline.
2) You are required to claim your character. How do you claim it?; Just post here lol. This WILL be a competition, and there will be a prize. \If more than one person wants to do a particular character that's fine. If 4 people want to do Statesman, then 4 Statesman customs will be elligible for judging at contest's end. I believe this will allow for more creativity and friendly rivalry.
3) The deadline for this is Sunday, August 31st at midnight. Of course, I'm asleep at that time, so let's be honest. You probably have until I get my lazy butt out of bed on Monday morning.
4) Only original customs made between today and the deadline are allowed. This means that no customs made before the contests beginning are elligible. All contest entries must be created during the contests duration. No exceptions.
7) First prize for this contest will be a mini casting kit!
That's right - we're doing this one in style lol. And there will actually be a second prize - 5 fodder pieces from my personal stash. I haven't worked out what for sure yet, but it won't be just junk I promise you.
