Time for an addition to my slowly-growing roster of Batman Beyond-style JLU characters. Stew's Static cast is still sitting on my table waiting to be completed, but here's an original one from me in the meantime: Firestorm Beyond.Re: Bottleimp's customs-- update 9/8/12-- Justice League Beyond entry pg.7Re: Bottleimp's customs-- update 9/8/12-- Justice League Beyond entry pg.7There's a website called Project Rooftop (http://www.tencentticker.com/projectrooftop/) that features different interpretations of comic book characters by artists around the world. It's a great source of inspiration for coming up with new and different costume designs, and this Firestorm custom was inspired by several of the great Firestorm redesigns that I've seen on the site. I wanted to make this version of Firestorm a little closer to the elemental version of the character from the comic series of the late '80s/early '90s, as well as make her female to act as a counterpoint to the water-based Aquagirl. The legs were Stew's casts of the barefoot legs I had created for my Aquagirl custom. I attached them to a standard female torso and used the Black Canary head (sans hair). The fire-hair comes, of course, from Waverider, though I cut some pieces from a second Waverider flame-piece and glued them to the first to make a fuller, more unique shape. And here's a shot of my JLU roster thus far:Re: Bottleimp's customs-- update 9/8/12-- Justice League Beyond entry pg.7From left to right: Atomik (Captain Atom Beyond), Starman, Aquagirl, Superman (Mattel's version with added white costume details), Firestorm, Warhawk (Mattel), Batman, Dr. Fate, Hourman, Bruce Wayne (Mattel's version with modifications to legs and arms and repainted head).Hope everyone likes her!
btw what superman head sculpt is that it's awesome?
