Thank you, Raven.

Today's custom is one of those rank-and-file villain characters that have such a soft spot in my heart. He's Hellhound, the thug for hire.

I've planned a custom of him for a while now but only got motivated about it once I saw JB's excellent take on the animated version. Certain that I couldn't top that, I tried for the comic version of the character, as seen in Catwoman and Salvation Run.

He's supposed to be a martial artist, so the baton is either an escrima stick or maybe just for playing fetch. I don't know.

Back to the other thread tomorrow, to see the original hero Scirocco, champion of Tunisia. Thanks for checking all these figures out.

Stew,

You werent' anybody in comics in the 90s unless you had a leather jacket and/or a ponytail. Don't know why that was the case. (Actually, I do. It was Jim Lee's fault).

Great work on Hellhound doc! And I totally agree with you with the jackets, ponytails in the 90s, but you forgot the katanas, smoky weapons, and flashing eyes lol

You foirgot about trenchcoats, Multiple pockets that served no purpose, overly large guns that more resembled hairdriers, boots that didn't match and an overabundance of metal/cybernetic parts that served not purpose nor had any decent explaination of why.

AHHHH...the 90's is it any wonder I call it the Lead Age.

I blame Leifeld for most of that, and for this he must be punished.

But now that that unfortunate business is out of the way I love Hellhound. For the longest time I thought he was Catman under an assumed name, thankfully I was wrong.
You got him spot on. Great job.

Thanks for the kind words, everybody.

And there's a difference between "forgetting" and "blocking out," just so you know.

I'm with Darth on the Lead Age bit, but I still remember the decade so well. I mean, I've got a Shadowstrike figure coming up. Shadowstrike, for pete's sake. (Five karma points to the first one to post who Shadowstrike was.)

Good job on that Hellhound, I can't believe that you're making a Shadowstrike  Shocked  Is he going to be reimagined like the other chick you did (Slingshot)?  And are you doing Krag also?

I think it's bad that Doc and me are the only ones who know who these people are  Tongue

Most definitely re-imagined. I'm sticking to the basic idea, but trying to dress it up some, too. I'd love to make a Krag, in fact I even started one using a Killer Croc figure. The whole project went sideways on me, though.

I'm a little awed you remember my Slingshot figure.

I think that you and I are the only ones who remember these characters in particular just shows who's been diehard JLA fans the longest.

Or, coupled with Darth Ennis' leviathan memory, it proves that us Louisiana boys just never forget a character.
