...okay so this is a question/polite request for anyone who has a cast of the proto Lex head, and the other two JL/JLU Lex heads... How different are they in size, color, etc? Perhaps does anyone have a clear/close-up pic they could share? Sorry to be such a bother, but I have been quite curious as to what the heads look like together as a point of reference, before buying a kit or the head of the proto. Note: like I say below I like the proto head, I just would be very grateful to anyone for a comparison pic. So yeah, if anyone can help...

while I love the recently acquired proto Lex by 37 and Stew... I still think the purple/green suit lex we got in 2005 is pretty spot on to the show, (the only difference I can find between the proto and the one we have now is the latter has a little more rounded chin.)
So actually I guess the

real point to my thread is... which Lex looks more accurate to you and why? I keep looking at both and love the proto for his more squarish jaw but I still am quite fond of the official release we have. (perhaps his poorly painted eyes and eyebrows are what make him look lesser on-model?)
So yeah which one aside from paint-apps. looks closer to this:

i never liked the original JLU Lex head, at least for lex. I never thought it looked like him that much. While I do love the proto head and plan on gettng a bunch from stew, my go to lex head is business suit lex

Prototype head all the way. It is spot on to the cartoon.

Proto head for me too. The business suit Lex is sort of squished looking and the other one is too round.

It really is weird to me that they had they had a perfectly accurate head and then released the two we got. Ugh. Long live proto Lex!

I used a business lex head fro my kwamie kilpatrick custom. That head is loooong.

lol, I guess I am the only one then who thinks the Purple/Green one is the closest to on model. I think the proto is very close though. perhaps when I get the moneez and get back to town I will try and order one from Stew and be able to compare the three Lex figures in person.

I was thrilled with the Purple lex until we snagged the prototype and now prefer that on over any. Trust me buddy, I don't have anything to do with the prototype anymore. The originals went to a great collector and Stew sells his perfect casts of it at such a low price he is really only recovering cost at best. This new Lex head will impress you. I'll go as far to say if you buy one and don't love it I'll reimburse you your cost or pay for another head in Stew's awesome store. That's how confident I am it is the best head there is......that sounded strange..........anyway, all opinion but I swear when you gaze into it's eyes for a second you can hear Clancy Brown.

Thanks, I am going to have to wait though as I will be out of town in a while and will not be able to get the package when it arrives (it takes Stew about 1-2 weeks to ship orders right?) If so, then I will not be here if I ordered it today or later this week. Thanks again for the pep talk about the head though, but like I said I think it does look great just not quite as on-model than the other, from what i've seen IMO. Though it may look better if I actually get it in my hands. (I just have to be patient, lol) Also I doubt I will not "love it" so reimbursing me is not needed, but

I am not going to just order one, I am waiting to see when and how much the kit will cost before I consider buying it, I just thought I would ask if anyone had all 3 figures. I wanted a reference pic before spending any money, I know you vouch for the figure's quality, but

I am the kind of guy that has to do a ton of homework before buying anything (money is very tight, even 12 dollars for a head.) If no one has a photo or does not want to post one, they simply need not reply to the thread, I was merely asking if anyone did.

I am not trying to be flaky or annoying but like I said money is tight, and I want to be sure it is something that I want to spend the money on. I know Stew's stuff is great work, but again I would like to be happy about buying something... before buying something, lol

the only photo i have on hand is this one. i will take one tonight for you with a regular figure and do a head swap to compare. it only takes me 10 minutes or so to paint the head up.
