I liked how your Lighting Lass turned out.

What did you figure out with with eyes?

Well, if you liked the second image that I posted (when the custom was still in progress), then you must like it now, that is finished Wink

What did you figure out with with eyes?

It is quite tricky, because if you look to this head in detail it is clear there was a mold problem, as one eye is bigger and a bit out than the other. So basically I did two things:

 - I acted in the figure's right eye, sculpting eye lashes shorter, more or less to the lenght of the other side of the face

 - The rest of the trick was in the make-up, hiding the imperfections... more precisely drawing the new eye lashes, so they woudl hid the different shapes and sizes of both eyes. I worked on each eye from inside out: first the white of the eyes, then the pupils, then the black eye lashes all arround (I picked as a model the eye lashes from the Ice figure) and then the skin tone, giving the exact shape and thinnes to the lashes I wanted to give.

You can see the difference below: See how the eyes were painted in Galatea and how I painted them:

I'm not a LOSH fan so I don't have any reference to compare with but the work you did on her is great Mental. Nice job.

Here is another figure I was working on for the Iron Chef Superman.  The final image will be posted soon.

***EDIT- By H-Balm***

We are SO close to the Iron Chef, let's keep the surprise!  I don't want you to give away your secrets yet!  Post the WIP once the contest results are out!

Figured I would dust off this thread.

I don't have any pics but I am working on a few new customs as we speak.

One of them is for a secret project, and the other is a DCUC Cheetara from the Thundercats. And even I gotta admit it looks really freaking cool so far.

Anybody else working on anything at present?

For the first time in well forever, my workbench is almost clear.  There are only 3 figures on it.  All the rest - nearly 25 figures - are inside on the painting table.  Between my son, my daughter and I we're VERY busy.  Some should be done as early as tomorrow.  Cheesy  I'll try to post another pic in a little while.

Sorry, no pics.

I am excited however to say I just spent 2.5 hours watching Hulu and painting figures.

And yet it's only half the size of my Harley/Batgirl painting.
