Mattel Question and Answer Thread

Mattel's ToyGuru has been kind enough to include us in the list of sites with the Mattel QnA. We'll be sending them questions every beginning and middle of the month. We'll be prioritizing questions regarding Justice League Unlimited but you're also to ask questions about other lines or Mattel-related things as well. The QnA will have five questions, some of which will come from the webmasters and moderators themselves and some chosen from this thread. Please post your questions to be asked here.

Wow this is great news.  I assume the standard rules apply - meaning no questions about specific figures?  Considering this is a custom-focused site, the questions should be VERY interesting.  Here are mine.

1) How does Mattel feel about the various customs that are made for the various lines?  Do they get inspired by some of them?  Do they even notice?

2) A LOT of emphasis has been placed on completing the old Super Powers line through DCUC.  Is this something that will be continuing, and will we see this continued over into JLU or DCIH?

3) How do the Four Horseman split up the workload on character creation?  Does each one have his specialty (faces, costumes, overall design, etc) or does each one pick a character or two and go at it so to speak?

4) Are there any plans to do a "fans choice" character poll for the JLU line along the lines of what was done for the DCUC line?  Fans always love to have a voice in the character selection...

1) Mattel seems adamant about not having a Lobo figure hanging on the peg hooks for the JLU line. Any chance he could be Mattycollector.com exclusive?

are there any plans on bringing playsets or dioramas to the jlu, dcih or dcuc lines? maybe separate small scale/scenic playsets to collect and put together to make one huge set?  (hint,hint)

- We always give Mattel lists of who we want to see in the JLU line. Is there anyone that Matty or TG would like to see as customs?

- Would TG be willing to be a judge in a future custom contest?

- As far as JLU goes, will there be anything new shown at NYCC?

1. Will there be more SDCC exclusive figures for the various lines this year?  I know you can't give specifics, just curious if there will be any.

2. We know the Four Horseman handle the design aspect for the DCUC line (and do a bangup job if I may say so).  Are there similar design teams for JLU & DCIH?  If so, who are they?

What are the chances that we could get a 10" Hourman/JL Batman two pack as a Matty exclusive. Seems they were hard to find for most collectors here in the US.

why were the DCUC wave 5 line a "walmart exclusive" when majority of walmarts across the country do not even sell DC related toys?
