With the recent news that all of the 2009 waves have been delayed, will we still be seeing four 6-packs this year, or will that be reduced to only two to accomodate the delayed assortments?

We're now waiting on our next batch of questions. These are our next questions (for April 15)

1) With the recent news that all of the 2009 waves have been delayed, will we still be seeing four 6-packs this year, or will that be reduced to only two to accomodate the delayed assortments?

2) Will we still be able to purchase online past released figures from the JLU line? If so, around when will this be possible?

3) Does Mattel have the rights to make figures of the Super Powers Golden Pharaoh and Cyclotron in either JLU or DCUC? How about the characters as represented in the JLU Animated Comics?

4) Is there a reason we're getting less 'big' villains, say from the original Justice League TV series before JLU, and we've been getting more of the secret society instead?

5) It's been said that rights to animated properties belong to Mattel. Does this mean that Teen Titans is included? Some have speculated that it isn't. Could you clarify? If it isn't included, does that block the possibility of JLU Speedy as well?

1 - Will Cyborg have a silver upper lip like he did at NYCC, or will this be corrected by production time?

2 - Is Mattel considering re-releasing figures that were put out by Hasbro like Lois Lane, Metallo, Ra's Al Ghul, Talia etc. Maybe even just use parts of them for future JLU figures (like Ra's cape).

There was a delay for this batch so ten questions will be answered in the next batch.

3 - Has there been a bump in sales for the Gotham City Criminals 4 pack with Mer Man being released? I was wondering if people are waiting for release dates of other figures to save on shipping on previously released items.

We've got 10 questions with some pretty cool answers for some!

www.dchallofjustice.com

Here's what should be on the May 15 list

1 - Will Cyborg have a silver upper lip like he did at NYCC, or will this be corrected by production time?

2 - Is Mattel considering re-releasing figures that were put out by Hasbro like Lois Lane, Metallo, Ra's Al Ghul, Talia etc. Maybe even just use parts of them for future JLU figures (like Ra's cape).

3- Has there been a bump in sales for the Gotham City Criminals 4 pack with Mer Man being released? I was wondering if people are waiting for release dates of other figures to save on shipping on previously released items.

4- We've been getting hints of future figures being kitbashes of old figures (ie straight repaints to make new characters, or a head of an existing character on a different body). Since there is no prerequisite for this in the line aside from alternate versions of characters, we wonder- is this something you're planning on doing a lot in the future?

5- You did an awesome job color-correcting some of the past figures to be more show accurate this time around. Are there any other corrections on figures that you feel you have to make or are we good for now?

That is some good stuff Chris.  Thanks for posting that.  I love the fact that Cyclotron & Golden Pharoah are able to be made.

If possible, could you throw in a bonus question for them for the May 15th set?  I don't know if they'll even answer, but this one is pretty important.

Question:

We're seeing reports that some Targets are now showing the JLU singles as NCF which means either a temporary or permanent discontinuation.  Do you know anything about this, and if so can you let us know?

Hopefully they won't just say, "Well, you have to ask your local Target about that."

Hey Chris, when you say 10 answers, you mean 5 from April and 5 from May right?

Yup. All questions are from 15 days before. So the April 15 and May 1 batch were from the Apr 1, 15 questions.

Here's one for next round.

It seems the only downside to the JLU line is the availablity. Niether Target nor Mattel wants to take the initiative to keep these stocked. This issue has existed long before the closing of the manufacturing facility and each blames the other for distribution problems or the responsibilty is thrown in the consumer's lap. What corrective actions are Mattel putting in place to guarentee these shelves remain stocked?

1 - How will Target accurately gauge how well JLU is selling when there hasn't been any new product since the beginning of the year due to Mattel's vendor shutting down on December? Do you feel this could be the nail in the coffin as far as Target renewing the line for 2010?

2 - Matty has done a good job getting harder to find figures like Deadshot and Parasite out there so people can get them. How are things looking for other characters like Barda and Obsidion?

3 - Do you have any news on a new vendor for JLU and when might we start to see the Batman Beyond and Cheetah 3 packs?

4 - For 2010, do you think it would be possible that if/when Target renews JLU, it could be a joint exclusive between Mattycollector.com and Target so they could offer the same product in stores and online? If not, What can the fans do to get Target to offer JLU on Target.com?

5 - There's been a lot of uncertain talk coming from Mattel lately reguarding JLU. For example "if the line is picked up again for 2010". Are these signs or warnings for fans?

6 - We know that NYCC will probably be after SDCC in 2010, but will you be showing new figures in NY too or just show the ones you already shown at SDCC.

Will Matty offer subscription services to lines other than MOTU (such as JLU, DCUC, Cars, Ghostbusters)?

Recap:

Jesterboy, your first question seems to be target directed so unfortunately I couldnt include it. I did use most of your questions though. I merged H-balm's Matty question with yours.

Here are the questions for May 15 (to be returned June)

2. Matty has done a good job getting harder to find figures like Deadshot and Parasite out there so people can get them. How are things looking for other HTF characters like Barda and Obsidian?

3. We know that NYCC will probably be after SDCC in 2010, but will you be showing new figures in NY too or just show the ones you already shown at SDCC.

4. For 2010, do you think it would be possible that if/when Target renews JLU, it could be a joint exclusive between Mattycollector.com and Target so they could offer the same product in stores and online? If not, What can the fans do to get Target to offer JLU on Target.com? Also, will Matty offer subscription services to lines other than MOTU (such as JLU, DCUC, Cars, Ghostbusters)?

5. There's been a lot of uncertain talk coming from Mattel lately reguarding JLU. For example "if the line is picked up again for 2010". Are these signs or warnings for fans?

Just a recap of last batch's questions (the ones that are for today)

6. We're seeing reports that some Targets are now showing the JLU singles as NCF (Not Carried Forward) which means either a temporary or permanent discontinuation.  Do you know anything about this, and if so can you let us know?

The answers are up on the mai page. http://dchallofjustice.com/news/?p=2585
