First off, I’d like to say that those of you who complained about getting rickrolled in my last blog will just have to get over it. If I specifically say I’m evil, and give you a link, and you click on it anyway, guess what? You deserve what you get. Idjit. Now on to your regularly scheduled program.
I’m starting to make a realization.
Wait for it…
I’m sick.
Profound huh? But it’s true. And not like peeping in on your friend’s mom sick (ah those were the good old days). No, I’ve come to the realization that I’m out of control. I find myself constantly watching ebay for bargains. For items to use for custom fodder. But that’s where the problem comes in. See, I currently have more fodder than I could ever possibly finish turning into customs in this lifetime. But I’m always on the lookout for more.
I am constantly looking at figures and saying, “Hmm… cool figure. I could use that for X, Y, and Z.” My kids think it’s funny, and actually like it. Because I usually get the new one and replace the one in their collection. So THEIR figures are always new. Hey, what do I care I’m going to customize the other one lol.
But my wife makes it interesting.
Me: “Honey! Look - I got a Hawk figure on ebay for $4!”
Wife: “Umm… Didn’t you just buy a Hawk last week?”
Me: “… Do you have a point? Other than the top of your head?”
Wife: “Funny. The electroshock must not be taking. We’ll need to work on that.”
Me: “Being married to you is all the therapy I needed.”
Wife: “Seriously, didn’t you buy another one two weeks ago? Matter of fact, don’t you have 4 or 5 of that one?”
Me: “Again, is there a POINT here?”
Wife: “Just not seeing what’s so exciting.”
*Sigh* She obviously doesn’t get it. It’s a sickness, but it’s a good one as far as I’m concerned. But to her, she’s starting to think I need an intervention. Guess she’d prefer me going back to smoking, drinking, and staying out all night. Personally, I think this addiction is relatively harmless.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have an auction closing soon. I need to go watch it for the next 4 1/2 hours.
