Here is my version of the hawkman of the HawkWorld comic. My take on this was an animated style “Timmverse” of details. he was made using the ray body base and the head came from Glassman. (thanks GM)

Basically all the details are different bands of sorts, even the collar. the shoulder gear were cut pieces of a superman cape. the belt I used pouches from a jlu luthor and mirror master. the wings are the interesting part. its one big sticker? I made the graphics of the wings in Illustrator cs3. Printed them out 2up along with the logo. Backed the 2 wing sets together and did my decoupage trick. :) presto! hawkman can fly.

and yes i did make the display comic card too.

here is one i have been sitting on for a while. been waiting for the right time to post. well, with me kicking off my own personal website, i thought it was time i finally show my very first DCUC custom. this one is made for the Doosh.net contest where i was teamed up with carbonor, another member that has this style down to a tee, to make the same custom. I also entered it into the AFI Custom Showcase

hopefully i may get to do a few more of these. this was really fun to make and not that big of a deal to transition from the jlu to this scale.

body base: DCSH bizzarro
head & tail base: “The Batman” Killer Croc (casted and shaped)

these are 2 customs strictly made from the 9poa jlu Batman figure for the CJ iron chef project.

the Capt.’s detail includes the ear bolts from flash to make the little head wings, belt from luthor squeezed over the bat belt, bands for the top of the gloves and boots and a mirror master shield with a decoupage print placed on top. the chin was shaved down a little, the shoulders were built up from sculpy and sanded completely and carefully painted.

iron man’s detail are bands for the uppr boots and gloves along with the belt. 2 thumb tacks for the sides of the belt. the shoulder gear from a jlu steele and so was the collar being modified and sculpted ove and shaped. the torso was also sculpy filled and sanded. the head was sculpy shaped face plate.

today i finally got the lighting fixed in my hobby room where i make my customs. i have been working on several so far but not able to show them off for a little while. so i made myself a blue beetle since i sold my first one i made and i can show this one since the others are for other projects.

he is the typical custom that everyone has made and using the flash base figure.

i put a little thought into doing this one. i used Steel’s torso, a martian manhunters arms and upper legs with Steels lower boots of the legs and the main construction. sculpted over the chest/stomach, boots and upper legs. the rest was foamie sheets cut to fit the chest wrap, shoulders, arms and knees along with a btas head with the mouth sculpted over. testors flat grey and gloss black was the paint and airbrushed it with a clear gloss. no dull cote.

i hope you like.

check out my current small project. JLU style Manhunter.
